About the Scholarship
Applications are open for the 2024 HDR Scholarship in flow assurance and corrosion mitigation at Curtin Corrosion Centre. Curtin University, in collaboration with Chevron Australia, offers one fully funded PhD positions. This research will explore the impact of sour gases like H2S and vapor Mercury on corrosion in the oil and gas industry, focusing on developing prevention strategies.
Eligibility Criteria
The student will be required to undertake online courses related to the research topic and corrosion theory, in addition to completing a course on handling H2S gas in extreme laboratory environments.
Australian citizen, Australian Permanent Resident, Permanent Humanitarian Visa and New Zealand Citizen
Full-time enrolment
Show an active commitment to leadership or community service activities.
Successful recipients must also not be in receipt of any other scholarship.
